Privacy notice

MyOwnLarder is run by Faresay Ltd, trading as Robin of Loxley, registered in England and Wales, company number 17302034. We are the controller of your data. Contact: hello@myownlarder.com.
What we keep
- Your account: email, name if you give one, a hash of your password, your language.
- Your kitchen: food names, amounts, where they’re kept, dates, recipes, the plan, the shopping list, and each person’s foods they don’t eat.
- Billing: whether you’re on Plus. Stripe handles your card; we never see or store it.
- How many AI uses you’ve made and what they cost us in tokens. Never what was in them.
Photos and receipts
A photo is sent to Claude, made by Anthropic, to be read, and then dropped. We don’t store it. Anthropic’s commercial terms don’t allow it to train its models on what we send.
Allergies and diets
A person’s list of foods they don’t eat can say something about their health. We use it only to leave foods out of suggestions. It’s optional. Our lawful basis is your explicit consent when you type it in, and you can delete it any time.
Who processes it for us
Vercel (hosting, US), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI, US), Stripe (payments) and our email provider. Transfers outside the UK rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum. For barcodes, only the barcode number goes to Open Food Facts.
How long we keep it
While you have an account. Delete the household from Household and it’s gone at once. Download everything as JSON at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@myownlarder.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
